This page brings together the corporate policies and accreditations of Locus Systems Ltd for customers, procurement teams and supplier-approval questionnaires. Quality management — a two-tier system

Locus Systems Ltd operates a two-tier quality structure, combining accredited group certification with its own dedicated quality management system.

1. Manufacturing quality (accredited certification). All core board fabrication and printing takes place in-house in Ipswich under the Klipspringer Holdings quality management system, which is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Locus Systems Ltd does not hold a separate ISO 9001 certificate in its own name; certification is held at group level and covers the design and manufacture of our products.

2. Operational quality (the Locus QMS). Alongside group certification, Locus Systems Ltd maintains its own documented quality management system governing how we sell, design, fulfil and support every order. This gives customers a single, accountable quality framework for Locus work — and means our standards apply equally should we source components or products from other approved suppliers in future. The Locus QMS comprises:

Copies of our Quality Manual, individual procedures, Approved Supplier List or the group ISO 9001:2015 certificate can be supplied directly to procurement teams on request.

Insurance

Locus Systems Ltd is an insured subsidiary under the Klipspringer Holdings commercial insurance programme, underwritten by Allianz Insurance plc. Cover includes:

  • Public liability: £5,000,000 any one occurrence
  • Employer’s liability: £10,000,000 (statutory)
  • Products liability: included within the commercial combined policy

The current certificate of insurance is available on request.

Health & safety

We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees, customers and visitors, and to complying with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all applicable regulations. Our arrangements include:

  • Risk assessments for all manufacturing processes, reviewed regularly and after any incident or change.
  • Safe systems of work for machinery, manual handling and the use of inks, coatings and adhesives.
  • Training and supervision appropriate to each role, with records maintained.
  • Reporting and investigation of accidents and near misses, with corrective action tracked to completion.

Where we carry out installation work on customer sites, we work to the site’s safety rules and can provide method statements and risk assessments in advance.

Environmental policy

We recognise our responsibility to minimise the environmental impact of our operations. Our commitments include:

  • Using durable materials and UV-cured printing processes designed for long service life, reducing replacement waste.
  • Segregating and recycling production waste, including aluminium composite offcuts, wherever facilities exist.
  • Sourcing materials from reputable UK and EU suppliers and consolidating deliveries to reduce transport impact.
  • Complying with all applicable environmental legislation, including waste duty of care requirements.

Modern slavery statement

Locus Systems Ltd and the Klipspringer Holdings group have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Although we are not currently required to publish a statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we voluntarily commit to:

  • Verifying the identity and right to work of all employees.
  • Working with established, reputable suppliers and expecting them to uphold the same standards.
  • Encouraging anyone with concerns about our operations or supply chain to raise them with us directly.

Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full details are in our privacy policy and cookie policy. Our ICO registration reference is ZC264566.

Supplier approvals and questionnaires

Procurement teams can request our completed pre-qualification questionnaire, insurance certificate, ISO 9001:2015 certificate (held by Klipspringer Holdings) and quality procedure schedule by emailing team@locus-systems.com or calling +44 (0)1473 974400. We aim to return supplier-onboarding documents within two working hours during opening hours.
